Nancy Schaefer has played a pivotal role at DRI ever since she joined the Company in 2002. Her exceptional background in default servicing and solid grasp of servicers’ needs bring an invaluable dimension to her involvement in client productivity—one that continues to impact on the caliber and functionality of DRI products.

Mrs. Schaefer started her career in mortgage loan servicing at Crocker Bank (later, Wells Fargo Mortgage), then moved on to the sub-prime arena at Advanta Mortgage (later, Chase Manhattan Sub-prime). During her Advanta tenure, she managed the REO department with its inventory growth from 200 to 2,000 assets in just eighteen months. She also created a property valuation control department and hired an internal appraisal staff to support the Foreclosure, BK, REO and Loss Mitigation departments. These expansions required a vendor management department which Mrs. Schaefer implemented, along with scorecards and objective evaluations of service providers.

Since 2000, Mrs. Schaefer has been active in REOMAC, (Real Estate Owned Manager’s Association). A board member since 1998, she served as president from 2002 to 2003.
